Syntax: oath (no argument) Lists the oaths available
Syntax: oath <oath name>
Bound by faith, the Paladin proclaims their deepest intentions,
vowing to uphold the rights and conduct of his deity - be it in life
or death. At the utterance of these valorous words divine powers
surge through the very spirit. This oath, unlike the divination of
their pious counterparts the Clerics and Priests, acts as a conduit
of direct power, affecting more than just wound healing or the
purging of ailments.

When activated, a Paladin evokes a very spiritual bond with the
divine, granting them physical and unworldly embodiment,
protective immunities and new found powers. It should be noted
that the gods are diverse and fickle. While the Paladin may be
endowed with enhanced abilities, the lesser aspects of their deity
and oath will become theirs as well.

Furthering the Paladin's commitment with purpose and
willingness, the chosen will open themselves up to a more
virtuous state, allowing for multiple oaths to guide them
fearlessly forward upon the battlegrounds of their crusades.

Paladins are able to pledge themselves to Aspects in opposition
to those of their deity. Doing so however will somewhat dilute the
strength of the Oath's impact. Paladins require certain Oaths in
order to use some of their skills while other Oaths will prevent,
hinder or modify usage of their existing abilities.

The Oath command exhausts once the limit for the number of
active Oaths has been reached. This lasts until the Paladin
advances a level. Once an Oath is made it lasts until death. An
Oath can be broken once any exhaust has cleared.

Paladins who are not active followers of a deity are unable
to use this command.

At this level, archers should probably consider using melee weapons and focus on their dr, as one is usually soloing at this point, and hand cross bows are pretty weak at this point, compared to what is possible with melee weapons. Once you have access to Target Leading you should definitely use a bow. If you do use archer gear and a hand crossbow remember to enchant the archer modifier gear (Woven Grass Bracelet, Buck-Skin Gloves) with an alt as the modifier is based on the items level.

Oath:

"Sir Tevarith looked solemn for a moment before clenching a tight
fist. He yelled at the sky.. then at the ground before his gaze
settled on me. A smile crossed his face as he gasped my
shoulder and proclaimed:
By Tul-Sith, We are protected."
--Pansius the Bard of Ages

PANDEMONIUM, DIVINE WRATH, ASSIMILATION

You may chose between the following oaths:
peace
war
chaos
destruction
creation
evolution
body
mind
transcendence

With each Oath comes a different specialization, bonuses and penalties.

Oath Peace
penalty - Your are too peaceful to enter divine fervor. Your oath prevents you from entering a frenzy.
From fire shift, go 2n u to reach the first room in Cinderheim. This room is a semi-safe room - the roasting carcass isn't aggressive. Rarely, however, the group of 4 will walk into this room.
Cinderheim is a nice area to gain experience in. None of the mobs cast spells, but there's a fair amount of gas. Mob levels vary roughly between 170 and 200. It's a good idea to take a cleric with you.<br>
The entire area is cursed (haven't checked the lloydable room at the top of the mesa though).<br>
There are four relatively tough mobiles (Edmund, Ralthar, Rapini, and Lanorth) wandering the first four rooms after the roasting carcass. Two avenging angels spawn after two of the mobs have been killed, giving you a total six possible mobs in a room. Rapini likes to bash, so you will need to switch tanks and watch their health. <br>
A dusty tome of forgotten lore and the Stiletto "Poignant Memories" can be retreived by killing He Who Remembers.

There is a lloydable room at the dragon on the spire accessible from the Mesa rooms (keep an eye out for the grey forms listlessly scanning - these are Mesa Sentinels) then search for an Up from one of those rooms.

In order to reach the gear section, follow the lava-filled fissure until you find the other down exit (the first down exit being the one you entered the area through). From here, there is a door north, then a scarab and 3 carcasses in a three room east-west loop, kill all three carcasses to spawn the grim sentry. This mob will then have the key to open the inner sanctum, north from where the sentry spawns. Inside there you will find He Who Remembers and four hulking mummies in a 3 room east-west loop.

1. Get a Head On A Stick from the Mountain Of Madness. Presumably some other lord level stick would work too.
2. Embed the following perfect gems into it: 1 diamond, 1 ruby, 1 emerald, 1 sapphire, 4 amethyst

3. Manifest the item: c manifest stick "crom's pointy stick"

Some speculate that the max damage on the manifested Crom's Pointy Stick is based on the max damage of the head on a stick used. For example, a pointy stick with max 102 will manifest a Crom's Stick with a max of 122, 104 gives you 124, etc.
