 In the world of Archery certain gear for hands, wrists and arm slots have modifiers that improve/hinder Damage, Accuracy and Criticals and also facilitate Archer Skills. These can be found by an archer with archery lore using exam on the item. To get the max out of these bonuses the gear needs to be 3 levels above your current level as the bonuses are calculated on the current level of the  item hence all hero gear with these modifiers should be level 54.
